Manuscript Editing
Your incubating manuscript will receive a comprehensive review, focusing on overall flow, character and plot development, and reader experience. We then provide proofreading including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and overall clarity. Throughout the editing process, we maintain close communication with you to ensure you maintain creative control.
Design and Formatting
As your manuscript finishes developing, we begin working together to hatch up a design plan, bringing all the visual elements to life. Based on your vision and input, we expertly design your book cover and professionally format the interior.
This step also includes securing a unique ISBN, barcode, Library of Congress Control number, Amazon product page and more.
Publication Guidance
Upon publication, we help your fledgling book find its wings by providing marketing advice, shareable promotional images, individually designed promotional bookmarks and an author page on our website.
You, the author, retain all rights to sell and market your book as you please, as well as a 50% royalty on all online book profits.

Initial contact with Merry Robin Publishing begins with a 5 page sample edit of your current manuscript. This sample edit allows us to provide constructive feedback, an individualized price quote and to map out your path to publication.

Design & Formatting

Once your book is edited and designed, you decide where to go next. By publishing with us, you retain a 50% royalty on all online profits, copyright and freedom to sell in person wherever you please. Should you choose to publish elsewhere, we provide information about best practices for self-publishing or traditional publishing to bring your book to market.

At Merry Robin Publishing, we offer top-notch manuscript editing services to help authors refine their books and ensure they are ready for publication. Our in-house editor, Holly, will meticulously review your manuscript, providing valuable feedback and suggestions to enhance its clarity, coherence, and overall quality.

Manuscript Submission
You can email your manuscript or invite me to join a shared document so I have access to make suggested revisions.
Initial Read-Through
This is when I read through the manuscript looking at big-picture concepts and overall flow. I will be perhaps your first audience, and I want to make sure that it reads well and makes sense to someone other than yourself.
Writing Workshop
This is where you and I will go back and forth with my suggested edits. You can choose to accept them or not, but I will make suggestions only as I see fit that will help guide the reader more smoothly through the manuscript. I do not want to change your voice or your style. This is still your book, and I want you to feel like you have control over your own story.
Proofreading
At this point, we get down to the nitty-gritty. Here I will make sentence level changes - editing for things like grammar and punctuation.
Discover Our All-Inclusive Design Service to Bring Your Book to Life
At Merry Robin Publishing, we offer a comprehensive design service that covers everything from interior design and formatting and to a compelling cover. Our designer, Jayne Ann, will ensure your book manuscript is transformed into a polished and professional final product.
Cover Design
This includes up to two mockups of front, spine and back cover design. I will work with you to get a clear vision of what you have in mind before I begin designing. We will work together to go over sample styles and examples of covers that you find appealing. This also includes the back cover text, including brief quotations, reviews, synopsis, etc.
ISBN and LCCN
I will provide a purchased ISBN and apply for a Library of Congress Catalogue Number. This also includes a copy of the finished book shipped to the Library of Congress upon publication, which helps protect copyright and qualifies your books to appear in libraries around the country.
Formatting
I work with you to choose a formatting style and then apply page formatting, header and footer formatting, chapter headings, etc.
KDP Publication
We will publish through our business KDP account (with you as the author), or provide guidance on best practices of alternative publishing options. You get to choose and I will happily walk you through the benefits of each.

After your book is published, we offer post publication advice and care services to ensure its success. From marketing and promotion to reader engagement, we've got you covered.
Amazon Page Setup
I will create a compelling product page synopsis to help draw in readers that includes important keywords to maximize SEO. I will take it a step further by adding in Amazon A+ content. A+ content is a series of images and additional descriptions beyond the basic product description.
Shareable Marketing Images
I will design shareable marketing images you can use to promote your book through email, social media and more.
Book Launch Strategry
I will discuss book launch strategy options with you to help create as much forward momentum as we can upon releasing your book.
Bookmark Design
I will design a bookmark with a QR code to purchase your book on Amazon that you can give out to friends, family, and other potential readers. You will receive 1000 bookmarks, shipped to your residence.
Library Submission
I will request your book to be acquired by the Salt Lake County Library System. This doesn’t guarantee the library will choose to carry your book, but they do take each request very seriously! (Pro tip: be sure to ask friends and family to request your book at their local libraries! This is a huge, free marketing opportunity that is woefully underutilized.)
